Average Bench: 53.6% (72nd of 649)

Based on 447,778 user benchmarks.  Device: 10DE 1C02 Model: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB

The 3GB GTX 1060 follows last month’s release of the 6GB GTX 1060. The 3GB variant not only has reduced memory but Nvidia have also disabled 10 percent of the processing cores from 1,280 down to 1,152. There is no reference edition of the 3GB 1060 but the partner cards are already available (at launch). Comparing the GTX 6GB 1060 and 3GB 1060 shows that the 6GB 1060 leads, on average, by 7% but it is also currently 15% more expensive. The GTX 1060 is Nvidia’s answer to AMD’s new Polaris based RX 470. Comparing the RX 470 and 3GB 1060 shows that for pre DX12 games the 1060 edges ahead by 11%. The RX 470 is able to match the 3GB 1060 in DX12 games but this will remain a corner case until most games are optimized for DX12 (likely to take several years). The 3GB 1060 has the potential to become a hugely successful card, especially if prices drop below $200. [Sep '16 GPUPro]

3GB may sound like too litle VRAM, but this baby manages to run most modern games at 60 fps, 1080p, medium to high settings.

As this is my first card it has lasted for many years and is still performing well, runs GTA and many other demanding games on fairly high settings (high quality 1920x1080 60fps), updates from Nvidia are frequent and overall a good card.

in most games, the 1060-3g could hit the level of 1060-6g, the best choice for getting a 1060 graphic card if you have limited budget

Awesome GPU for users who wants decent 1080p 60fps gaming but were so budget constrained that even spending little more penny put them off their budget or aren't willing to replace their 450W or lower PSU with higher wattage one or more quality one. 3GB of GDDR5 VRAM may leads to bottleneck if the game wants or uses more than 3GB of VRAM.

Great 1080p budget card, I like it over the RX 580 given it uses literally half the wattage even though they're both rated 120w.

Better than the RX 570 but the smarter choice is to get the 6gb for only 30$ more

Works great for 5:4 screen, runs pretty much anything on high.

Good

Got this GPU, can run almost all games on max graphics @60fps 1080p if not it will be fine on high. It's only issue (for its pricepoint) is the lack of video memory. Meaning anything higher than 1440p will most likely destroy it. Definitely not a bad card if building a budget 'eSports' based gaming build as it runs most fps and mobo smooth. But stuggles with high end games like ghost recon: wildlands at anything above medium settings @1080p.

The #1 best value card you can buy currently. Personally using it for 144hz 1080p gaming

Good

It will be beter if it had 4gb like the rx 4/580 "budget" version (for mirrors edge Hyper settings for example), but for the price is hugely better than the 6gb model (only 6fps on average of improve compared with the "expensive" model, if i was you, I'll think 3 times before buying)

Excellent

I thought I was buying the cheapo because of the present market, I had wanted a 1070. I plugged this guy up and 60-90 fps in my favorite games (in 1080p) and was completely happy.

It's fine for most of your gaming needs and it is even alright when it comes to some light VR games like Beatsaber.
