This could run smoother on lower spec PCs with a couple of basic changes.
1) allow the user to set a screen size.
2) Tone down the crazy animation on the vegetation. It looks like a storm is blowing with trees moving so much. It does not match the sky, or the smoke from the burners. Grass and small plants move in a light breeze. Trees do not.
Q: Am I supposed to be a child or a dwarf ?
Being at groin height to the other people in the town would make me about 5 or 6 years old perhaps.
Q: If the entire population of the town has disapeared, why are there people in the town at the start of the game ?
You have not explained in the game-info above, or in-game how I got from my bed to be standing outside near people.
At the start of the game your are a child and then the witch comes and takes everyone away. Then you start playing as the father looking for his lost child.
Nice game with great atmosphere and beautiful graphics. The music goes well with the game, although I did get a copyright claim on the video I made. :( Would have liked to have seen more to the story as well as the witch herself (she was always turned sideways when she popped up), but the jumpscares got me pretty good. Overall, I think this game has a lot of potential and would love to see more to it.

That's okay, it seems that YouTube's algorithms when it comes to music is weird and it's next to impossible to appeal those claims so I had them mute the sound out of the video instead. Still a cool game though and I hope there's more in the future.

This game was really neat! I can say that I enjoyed the jumpscares (even though there could have been different types of jumpscares). My heart didn't jump out and slap me, but it did try breaking out of my chest. I loved how I had to search for the key just to leave each area, but it became a bit redundant after a while. Maybe add in an escape through a sewer system (some medieval kingdoms had some type of sewer systems like the romans)...anyways. It would also be neat to add in minions of the witch chasing me as I try to put the artifact in its place.
Overall, very good work on the artistic set up. Atmosphere was great, scare level is enough to make kids quit early in game (sorry, but if I were a kid again, I would have turned it off with the first jumpscare and probably slept with my parents) lol. Keep it up and hopefully we get to see more!
How could the whole village up and desert me haha For being your first horror game, I think it was really good. The medieval setting was a nice choice and really stunning when you first enter the game. I wish there was more to the witch, rather than just popping out at ya. Maybe have her roam around the village while the player tries to avoid her.

The game was ok, though some areas could use a bit more polish. The witch though, I wish it had a bit more presence instead of being a jumpscare mechanic. Maybe have it kinda follow your or something, I'm not sure. But the story is fairly sound.
