This is the official demo for the project known as East Coast Nightmares.
Fear, Fate, Paranoia, East Coast Nightmares will be sure to keep you up late at night. If you are looking for a game that starts out at a Serial Killer's Carnival, and then has you going through several different nightmare-fueled levels you have come to the right place. Clowns, Zombies, Monsters with over 50 different unique enemy types, East Coast Nightmares will keep you trying to figure out the quickest way to kill a certain enemy.
In This Demo -
You may have played the alpha-build that featured a prison, but now we are back with a demo full of zombies, carnival rides, Three separate nightmare locations (The demo will start you off at a Carnival and then leading you to A Haunted House where literally everything is alive, once you find the exit you will then enter into an Underground Bunker. But that's not all, if you are able to somehow survive the first three nights you will find yourself in a boss battle with a Leather face inspired monster that lives in a basement of a farm house.
- Note, This game requires you to solve mysteries to access the next levels. Simply search the rooms for hidden secrets to help you :)
Also please note that one thing I noticed from the Alpha-Build, was that gamers were enjoying the game but they encountered several crashes to solve this problem i have set the graphics to low to begin with, to make the graphics better simply navigate to the options in the main-menu.

This has a lot of potential, I really enjoyed this demo!
Very very weird.
I tried playing this game but the lag was so bad and every time I would try to go in the barn the game would just crash I couldn't even play the first level but the Idea of the game is still cool

Aside from a few assets i bought everything was done by myself :) Thank you!
I received an email from the developer to test this game out so I did. I created a video on my game play. I like the direction in which the game is going and the "environments". I did find several glitches such as picking up VHS tapes and having them stay floating in the air, the gun at one point just decided to no longer work, and AI pathing issues. I also fell through the floor of the mansion. (You can see it all in the video.)
I wasn't able to play the third level. The lag was unbearable. (But that was probably just my crappy computer + me recording).
My biggest gripe with this game is the fact that the majority of the assets are just purchased from the Unity Store. The User Interface, the killer clowns, the player, the VHS/TV player, the carnival assets... everything was just purchased from the asset store. Even the mansion is the same mansion used in the Escape the Ayuwoki game. So although I like the direction and look of the game, I feel if the models aren't changed this game will lack uniqueness.
The description from the developer above says "unique-horror Indie Video games of all time". It's a little hard to be unique when you are using assets that anyone with $200 to kill can go purchase right now and recreate what you've made. I'm in no way against using store assets.. I just don't think your entire game should be built using them as anyone can recreate it very easily just by buying the same assets.
I think there is a lot of potential here. I would just like to see some unique models. (And some loading screens).

Yeah I feel ya. I'm a team of one myself at the moment. It's a lot of work. Keep on grinding. I like the idea of different 'horror stories' all rolled into one. A lot of potential here.
The demo looks good. The only issue I had was the inventory system and not being able to change weapons quickly (for some reason, scrolling the mouse didn't work for that). Other than that, I really enjoyed the game and backed it on Kickstarter. I can't wait to see more of this game.

late to the party as usual lol
the demo is great so far, when you shoot a zombie and try to walk over it the zombie kind of body blocks you which happened to me, but did get out..
love the atmosphere and the music, gameplay is really smooth, after entering the vents, i lost quite a bit of fps,, not sure if thats suppose to happen.. but really good game so far, good work!!
First... I hate survival games (I'm very bad at it) :D
But I found the game interesting and it has potential
it still has some bugs and it crashed me once... what bothered me was that you were attacked right at the beginning of the game because you don't know what to do or where to go :D
but on the big a solid survival game only for the kill/fun :)
I couldn't donate to Kickstarter, so I did it here.
