Description

Awesome Games Studio is an independent game development studio founded in 2009 and based in a beautiful city of Cracow in Poland. Over the years we developed and self-published multiple games for Steam, Xbox One, PS4 and Xbox 360. We're dedicated to staying independent and developing our own IP. We love making games as much as we love playing them.

History

XBLIG age

The company was started by Marcin Draszczuk in 2009 and it was developing games for Xbox Live Indie Games, with its first title Duel: The Art of Combat which was a complete flop. But that's often the case with first titles. The next one however, Yet Another Zombie Defense, was so successful that it allowed the studio to function over the next few years. After that Andrzej Pasiński joined the company and together we worked on the next Xbox Live Indie Game called Oozi: Earth Adventure. In the meantime work also begun on I, Zombie, which was co-developed with Mariusz Draszczuk, Marcin's brother, and Avatar Fantasy RPG, which was Marcin's solo project. Marcin has also made a few more XBLIGs that are better left forgotten.

Steam age

A huge milestone for the company was in 2013/2014 when Steam Greenlight was launched and we were able to release our best XBLIG titles on Steam. Yet Another Zombie Defense's improved version turned out to be very successful again, mainly because of addition of online co-op and general visual overhaul. In Early 2015 work has been started on Fury Unleashed, the company's largest project to date and it still continues. Also in that year the company has been joined by Bartosz Orliński, who was just starting his career in game development. Fury Unleashed launched in Early Access in 2017 and few months later a Yet Another Zombie Defense HD, a remastered version of the previous title was released.

Next-gen age

With Steam's quickly growing number of released games, we started looking at consoles. Mariusz started testing the ground with I, Zombie and was able to release it on both Xbox One and Playstation 4 in late 2016, and released it on Switch in 2018. In 2018 and 2019, Yet Another Zombie Defense HD was ported to Xbox One and Switch, while Fury Unleashed is still awaiting for when it's ready to come out of Early Access.
