It's a good case but instructions are laughable and the web site is almost worse since it just has a PDF of the crap instructions it comes with. The case itself also has no way to install a DVD drive or bay mount card reader as there is no bays. to me this is a glaring deficiency, thus 3 stars only
This case is awesome, but here's a few things worth knowing about it. Pros : 1.it looks professional and elegant ,even with your RGB lights putting on a show ,it's still very pleasant to look at.
2. inside is very spacious and organise ,all my components fits with plenty space to spare.
3.the RGB button, you can still use rgb fans in the case even if your motherboard does not support rgb .the case has its own rgb setup ,just connect your fans to the case header and press the rgb button .
4.case comes with a P.S.U shroud and magnetic dust filters, that's pretty sweet considering the fact that I bought it for $50 .,you don't get stuff like that in $50 cases ,so yes this case is one he'll of a deal .
Cons : 1.the case itself weights a ton, and when you install your components ,it's back brakingly heavy .
2.the side and front is real glass ,and considering how much the case weights, it probably won't survive if you accidentally drop it. the glass is also a dust and fingerprint magnet .
3.the case only accommodates two hard drives and two ssd drives ,which is strange because there's enough room inside the case to accommodate a lot more drives. I have 4 ssd and 3 hard drives so you can imagine how annoyed I am that a case has enough space but not enough drive bays .
Deepcool seems to be lacking a good QA. It seems that in the v3 revision of this case they changes mounting the SSD drives from horizontally next to the motherboard to vertically. This makes the port for the SSD almost flush with the chassis of the case. It probably isn't an issue for some but in the case of my Corsair SATA power cables they are almost at a 90 degree angle so it puts strain on the wires. You have to run them through the other side in order to avoid that. Also good luck trying to get the other power cable on the same line to line up with a second SSD. They really should have left this horizontally.
It also states on the specifications 2+2 for the 2.5" drives. I must assume that the other two drives are to be installed underneath the motherboard. I see 4 pieces rising which I must assume lock in a bracket. I read some other places where Deepcool uses these in their other lines. Mine did not have these. If they are optional then it should be stated in their instructions.
I also received 10 of those longer screws. The picture on Amazon for this only shows 2. I also did not receive the screws to secure the 120mm fans to the case but they are also listed in the picture.
Not sure if I just got a bad one but if they can't even get this right and their instructions are poorly written I would just avoid this case altogether.
