Why Early Access?

“Please note, that this is an early access of the game we plan to develop in parallel with being on steam. Core members of our team have a history of small games being developed in short periods of time, by launching an early access title we motivate ourselves to keep the juices flowing until the end of Golden Light development by the power of responsibility and your feedback. All revenue accumulated from sale of the game will go towards development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Preliminarily we plan to leave Early Access in Q4 2020/Q1 2021.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In release version of the game we plan to add a bunch of things:
- A complete storyline
- Even more character upgrades, weapons and items
- More enviroments for floors of The Gut
- New enemies
- New bosses
- New characters
- Trial mode with different challenges for players to overcome with online leaderboards for those who want to show their skill to others
- Steam achievements
- Localization for a variety of demanded languages
- Overall, Golden Light will be a more polished experience”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently the game features:
- A simple beginning of our storyline
- Lots of character upgrades
- Procedurally generated levels, weapons and items
- Spooky monsters to stand in your way to the bottom of The Gut
- Around 10 floors of eerie goodness
- Interesting non-hostile characters that will help you in exchange for your Gold
- No definitive ending”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“For a span of whole Early Access the game will be set at one price that we believe is appropriate, but as soon as we get all planned content and features into the game - Golden Light will leave Early Access and will be given a higher price.”
